Dia de los Muertos

A few months ago I took a walk in the park when I was struggling with a particularly difficult wave of grief about my mother’s death. To my surprise, I came upon a hidden little nook that had been turned into a Japanese-style garden. As I entered the garden, a falcon descended and landed on a large boulder in the pond.
