This work is inspired by the innumerable instances of satire, parody, jokes, memes, and other humorous responses that have emerged in response to fascism. Based on a photo, while painting this work I realized the coyotes appeared to look smug as if sharing a joke. Painted for a fundraiser for Coyotl + Macehualli.
